EVENTS AND GROUP TOURS

Orchard Tours & Formal Tastings

Welcome to the Bella Vista Ranch!

We enjoy sharing our "Touch of Tuscany in Texas" and invite you to learn more about the structure of a traditional Italian family farm; an in-depth exploration of olive trees and their oils.

The Bella Vista Ranch offers both Private Group Tours and Open Scheduled Tours.

Private Group Tours are available for groups of 15 people or more.

Consider us for your next corporate event or social outing.

Please note:  Private Group Tour dates must be scheduled at least one week prior to the tour.  A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required when the tour is confirmed.  Deposit is refundable if tour is canceled at least forty-eight hours (48) prior to tour start. Final balance is due prior to the tour.  Tour may be canceled if group arrives more than one hour later than scheduled appointment (this policy is due to staffing schedules). We appreciate your understanding.

Open Scheduled Tours are generally offered on Saturdays and are available to independent visitors. The 1-1/2 hour tour and tasting begins at 1:30 PM.  Gates open at 1:15 PM and are closed to the public at the start of the tour.  Space is limited and reservations are required. Call or email us to confirm a reservation. The tour fee is $17.50 per person, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the tour fee is due at the time of reservation.

The tour involves a walk* through our picturesque olive orchards and the olive mill while your host provides a thorough overview including:

  • the history of olive trees

  • the unique agricultural aspects of growing olive trees in the Texas Hill Country

  • a view and description of the olive press, known in Italian as a "frantoio"

  • a definition of high quality, extra virgin olive oil

  • a formal olive oil tasting

  • a tasting of gourmet foods in the store

  • a wine tasting

Our tasting room and gift shop will open during your tour, and you will be able to sample fresh olive oils, hand crafted wines, and other gourmet foods at the end of tour.

To make reservations, please call 512-689-6776 or email us at oliveguy@bvranch.com. Children twelve years or older are welcome on the tour.
